How To Use
Use in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with mineral turps. Allow to dry completely before applying silicone.
- Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge, cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge then insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as Selleys Light Speed Caulking gun.
- Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply with steady pressure, ensuring sealant is pushed into the joint. Important: Product will skin over in 5 min.
- For a smooth finish, tool with a spatula dipped in detergent water within 5 minutes of application.
- Clean up excess sealant before sealant skins (5 minutes) with mineral turps.
Limitations:
- Not paintable. Complete painting 7 days prior to applying sealant.
- Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use
- Not suitable for building materials that bleed oils or solvents, such as impregnated wood
- Not for aquariums or contact with food, eating utensils or drinking water
